WHAT DOES A MANAGEMENT AND PROGRAM ASSISTANT DO? IRS Management and Program Assistants perform a wide range of duties in most major IRS organizations. These duties may include researching specific programs or issues, collecting relevant statistics and other data, and assisting in preparing reports with supporting tables, charts and illustrations. Management and Program Assistants use word processing, database and spreadsheet software to prepare and create memos, reports and records in final form.As a Management and Program Assistant, you will:
Assist analysts; specialists, technicians and other higher grade assistants in performing analytical and technical work; Identify potential and actual problems; and probable causes; Research special issues and gather pertinent statistics or information; Report findings for the full scope of a program or function or identify this information for an aspect or aspects of a program or function. Prepare memoranda, preliminary reports, spreadsheets and charts showing findings of recommendations; Perform administrative tasks (e.g., filing, timekeeping, organizing/coordinating meetings and conferences, ordering office supplies, etc) WHERE CAN I FIND OUT MORE ABOUT OTHER IRS CAREERS? GS-06 LEVEL:
You must have 1 year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
clerical and technical work in support of management and/or program analysis functions which may have included identifying potential and actual problems and/or probable causes; researching specific issues; gathering pertinent statistics or information; monitoring, reviewing, or evaluating operations and interrelationships with other functions in regard to workflow, work redundancy, or systemic problems; revising procedures, controls, etc; and preparing memoranda, preliminary reports, and charts showing recommendations or findings. This list is not inclusive. -The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-timework; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.- To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week, on your resume.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
