WHAT DOES AN DESKTOP INTEGRATION INVENTORY CONTROL COORDINATOR DO? A Desktop Integration Inventory Control Coordinator serves as the principal advisor and coordinator for inventory management, Account Management System (AMS) reports, and/or appropriate Compliance systems/equipment that are used to provide accurate and timely inventory of taxpayer records, manage case assignments, assess cycle time, and/or work distribution. The Inventory Control Coordinator will be responsible for interpreting and/or troubleshooting the data/equipment problems, resolving reject situations/equipment or software problems, and assisting others in doing the same. The Inventory Control Coordinator works closely with the site's management to ensure all site and national goals are met. The Inventory Control Coordinator may work closely with the Information Technology (IT) organization to report equipment/software problems. As an Desktop Integration Inventory Control Coordinator you will:
Work with management and users to determine information, data, software, and/or equipment needed for Collection or Centralized Case Processing operational activities. The result may require coordination with MITS or Headquarters for additional information, technical assistance, work scheduling, or timeframes for systemic resolution. Advise management on problems that impact employees, work processes, and/or program goals. Responsibilities include ensuring that all appropriate listings or trouble tickets are timely researched and resolved. Provide feedback to management on untimely ORCAS or CCA, GII or ICS reconciliation listings and resolutions. Create reports that assist managers and users to track inventory and establish priorities. Inventory reports could include statutes, case assignment sorts, overage, rejects, and/or equipment. The incumbent will be responsible for learn the work processes and systems within Compliance (i.e., Integrated Collections System ( ICS), Control D, Batch Block Tracking System (BBTS), Integrated Automated Technology (IAT Tool), GII Tool, Weekly Briefing, CCA Report, SBSE DM Batcher Tool, NQRS/EQRS, Centralized Inventory Report (CIR) EXCEL, Junior Data Base, Account Management System (AMS), Automated Collection System (ACS)) and Integrated Data Retrieval System (IDRS). Identify error trends and barriers in automation, AMS, and inventory control processes that require additional training and/or guidance. Identify and assist with the development of basic and refresher training for AMS, ICS, applicable Compliance system, and/or IDRS. Review and analyze various AMS and ICS inventory daily; weekly reports and the IDRS weekly control reports (CCA) for program effectiveness. Monitors ORCAS reports for overaged inventory. Monitor WP&C via Control D for correct reporting and adjust as necessary. Review BBTS for inventory reported for CCP OFP's. Move inventory through AMS, ICS, GII Tool, Junior Database and SBSE DM Batcher Tool via electronic mailboxes as needed (up to and including site to site, department to department. Coordinate with managers to set thresholds and assign skill codes. Assist management and other users in reviewing, interpreting and analyzing data provided through routine reports, and use integrated software products to develop non-routine or ad hoc reports designed to gather unique or specialized data to address management concerns or specified needs. Resolve complex-processing problems, identify and resolve local AMS, ICS, IAT, GII, DM Batcher Tool, Junior Database and/or applicable Compliance system problems, and, as necessary, develop procedures and guidelines for employee Coordinate the implementation of automated applications. Implementations may include:
training new users, identifying personnel and procedural issues raised by the automation process, securing supplies, forms necessary for automation, converting paper documents to data files, and testing applications. Attends meetings with Managers, work leaders and/or clerks to provide updates on the inventory processing, AMS, ICS and IDRS. You must have 1 year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
Experience using cross-functional programs(i.e., Manually Monitored Installment Agreements (MMIA), In Business Trust Fund (IBTF) program, Partial Pay Installment Agreement (PPIA) program, Direct Debit Installment Agreement (DDIA) program, General Case Processing (GCP) program) and their interrelationship with assigned program to conduct reviews and studies/projects; Experience assisting with analytical and evaluative methods to assess and measure program operations effectiveness; Experience assisting with creating various Excel reports (i.e., Adhoc Reports for FY Inventory, Phones and Physical Inventory, (WAAG) for budget and training); Experience assisting MITS recognizing, interpreting and/or troubleshooting data/equipment problems, resolving reject situations/equipment or software problems; Experience recognizing issues that impact compliance programs to make valid conclusions for resolution. Experience with oral and written communications to create desk guides, training material, assist in preparing weekly briefings and present data and/or recommendations for internal controls.OR You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows:
One (1) year of graduate level education at an accredited college or university in a related field of study that demonstrated the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. OR Superior Academic Achievement (SAA) may be met by having a Bachelor's degree, with one of the following:
A GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale for all completed undergraduate courses or those completed in the last two years of study, or a GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale for all courses in the major field of study or those courses in the major completed in the last two years of study, or rank in the upper one third of the class in the college, university, or major subdivision, or membership in a national honor society recognized by the Association of College Honor Societies. Master's or equivalent graduate degree in a related field of study that demonstrated the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. OR Two (2) full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a related field of study that demonstrated the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
