Service Desk Engineer

Job Description Be a part of our growing team! NexusTek Boston, a leading area provider of IT services, is looking for full time, first shift engineer and 2nd shift (2pm until 10pm).

Responsibilities Include:
Provide client-focused remote and on-site technical support with Setup, Installation, Configuration, Operation and Support of client's desktop hardware and software.
Logging and documenting Support/Resolution tickets Ability to Provide Weekend/Off Hours/Emergency Support on a Rotating Basis Key Competencies:
Experience in providing Client Services in a Help Desk position supporting a multitude of Applications and Networking environments.
Experience with Basic Networking Concepts and Standards Ability to provide superior professional Client Services both on-site and remotely Knowledge of LAN/Telecom Wiring Familiar with various Client Server Environments Ability to independently research and resolve issues efficiently and multi-task Thrives in Dynamic, Fast Paced Environments Detail Oriented with Excellent follow-up skills; documenting and updating support issues continuously Commitment to provide quality customer service to our growing network of clients Qualifications and Requirements:
1-2 Years of previous Help Desk experience to include PC Support and Configuration, Server, Voice Mail, Phone and Data Line Maintenance Associate Degree in IT, MIS, CS (or related) preferred but not mandatory with applicable experience.
Certifications preferred.
Must have a valid driver's license, can pass a background check and be a US citizen.
The Position May Require the Use of Your Personal Automobile for Onsite Client Visits; Travel Reimbursement Provided.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
