The Communication Strategist oversees the development, implementation and management of participant communications for clients of Retirement Plan Services. This client-facing role supports the Large & Mega markets and combines financial services acumen with communications campaigns and financial education to inform and motivate individuals to improve income replacement ratios while delivering exceptional service to plan sponsors and advisors. The Strategist is responsible for accurate and timely communications relating to plan activity as well as action-based campaigns. They manage a book of business with ownership of budget, deliverables, required notices, quality control, timelines, metrics and planning.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop strategy and manage implementation of participant communications. Annual communication plans. Plan activity, required notices and audience analysis. Financial education awareness, tools and resources. Action-focused campaigns (enrollment, deferral rate increase, portfolio diversification, etc.). Advisor market strategies and leveraged offerings to expand competitive presence.
Draft, edit and proofread all written content, whether original or standardized.
Review and recommend design and delivery strategies that increase impact while reducing cost.
Coordinate Financial Education Consultant to conduct employee meetings and select presentations/webcasts.
May travel to meet with client.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, journalism, communications, finance or relevant field.
Series 6 and 63 licenses.
Advisor/Intermediary relationship experience and an understanding of their role, impact and the opportunity.
Knowledge of 401(k) plans including defined contribution, defined benefit, non-qualified plans and financial services industry, including relevant regulatory compliance.
Five to seven years experience in client management, corporate/benefit communications or marketing.
Track record of strong client relationship experience and project management skills.
High competency in Microsoft Office Suite and aptitude to quickly learn other systems/software.
Proven technical and persuasive writing skills and style guide knowledge.
Presentation and public speaking strengths.
Strong facilitation, conflict resolution and crisis management skills. Familiarity with variable data, personalization and multi-channel delivery.
Adaptable to a fluid work environment and seasonal spikes in workload.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
