Sr. Financial Analyst

Looking for a high potential Finance Analyst to join Watts Water Technologies. Reporting to the Platform controller, this individual will interact with a team of site controllers and other business colleagues to collect, analyze, and provide financial analysis and accounting support. Relies heavily on analytical abilities and experience to sort through complex data and prepare meaningful information to assist management with decision making, accounting deliverables, and business performance metrics and reports. As a member of the Platform finance team, this individual will work cross functionally to identify areas of improvement in process and operations.
Provide meaningful, timely financial analysis of business performance and opportunities.
Prepare and present monthly financial review for senior management at the Platform and Region level.
Monitor, analyze, investigate, and report variances to standard, budget, and prior periods.
Review, report on, and analyze performance of Platform, products, customers, and operations. Make recommendations where appropriate.
Perform product costing, pricing support, and profitability analyses.
Compile, maintain, and evaluate unit sales and financial forecasts.
Assist in the development of annual operating plan and multi-year strategic plans. Analyze budgets and supporting schedules to validate completeness, accuracy, and reasonableness.
Extract and utilize data from various information systems to support additional information requirements as needed.
Participate in the month end financial close process.
Proactively recommend changes where appropriate to assure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 requirements, GAAP, and Watts Accounting Policies and Procedures.
Provide information and decision support to all functional departments.
Provides assistance and guidance to other members of accounting/finance staff.

BS/BA in Accounting or related BS/BA degree with equivalent experience. MBA/CMA is a plus.
5 to 8 years experience in a similar role with a manufacturing company.
Capable of researching, retrieving, organizing, and summarizing data to prepare reports, financial journal entries, and financial analysis.
Demonstrated ability in analyzing, interpreting, and communicating financial information to all levels of management.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
Experience working with Finance systems; Proficiency in Hyperion or QAD is a plus.

The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Work in office environment
May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
Travel requirements are minimal.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
