JOB SUMMARY:
NaviSite is seeking a Manager, Security Services to manage the design and fulfillment of security services, through consultation, collaboration, and facilitation with appropriate business stakeholders (i.e. compliance, product management, engineering, operations, and other support functions). Individual will ensure all security services and related process are properly evaluated, designed, implemented, managed, and monitored.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides managerial and technical advisory security consulting services to assigned stakeholders
Assists with solution development activities to ensure security requirements are appropriately identified, considered, and addressed. These services will include but will not be limited to security education, solution architecture and design assistance and review, control identification and development, threat analysis, vulnerability assessment, security risk assessment and exception development and reviews.
Advises on industry leading practices and internal best practices for security services.
Develops trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders and internal groups.
Develops and enhance methods, practices, processes, and materials that can be used to provide repeatable and scalable support and guidance.
Actively contributes to security knowledge management capabilities to enable internal knowledge sharing and customer self-service capabilities.
Recommends and assists in the definition and implementation of security controls in accordance with enterprise policies, standards, and procedures.
Educates and advises the business management and workforce on industry leading security practices and current, changing, and recommended security expectations and requirements.
Provides security subject matter expertise in security technologies, solutions and capabilities that are currently or reasonably expected to be used as part of solutions and services provided by their assigned business unit.
Ensures compliance with enterprise security program, policies, standards, and guidelines.
Ensures alignment of security program with business strategy and coordinates security activities with business plans. Drives constructive procedural changes to ensure effective risk-based implementation of security requirements
Provides periodic security risk and security assessment reports highlighting priority issues and suggested corrective actions
Manages timely and quality response to security related client inquiries
Assists in the development of security risk mitigation and/or corrective action plans
Manages team members/engineers, ensuring that they continuously improve the fulfillment of all aspects of security services, including installation guidance, ongoing operation support for security tools (i.e. Alert Logic Threat Manager and Log Manager, Tripwire, etc.)
Continuously monitors, evaluates and improves implementation and operational support processes. Ensures appropriate configuration, testing, reporting, alerting and overall process flows are efficient. Maintains related standard operating procedures and documentation.
Partners with the Product Management and Compliance to keep pace with changing technology and drive value to our customers.
Develop relationships with Security Service vendors, understand their technology road maps.
Provides oversight on vendor system changes and case management
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Successful track record of working with both business and technical customers both independently and concurrently to achieve business goals and meet requirements
Proven relationship management expertise with both business and technical personnel
Communicates security status and issues to the business in business terms to all levels of management and workforce
Articulates the value of security controls and their potential business Impacts
Advanced presentation, program management, and relationship management skills
Strong risk analysis, customer service, problem solving, and consulting skills
Able to interpret and apply policies, standards and procedures in business relevant and applicable way
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Professional with ability to properly handle confidential information
Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines
Ability to work within a matrix organization
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education:
Bachelor?s Degree (or higher) preferred (or equivalent experience)
Related Work Experience Number of Years
Management and/or advisory consulting background 7+
Software and/or technology management experience 7+
Knowledgeable and competent in security concepts, techniques,
tools, methods and practices, and the ability to successfully implement
them in both business processes and technology.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
