Associate Design, Product Development Engineer

Associate Design/Product Development Engineer (Vicor Corporation; Andover, Massachusetts) Apply theoretical expertise in the principles of high frequency switching power supply topologies for DC-DC converters in an R&D environment, working under general supervision. Must be familiar with the relevant modeling tools (SPICE and Matlab) and be able to troubleshoot and resolve power electronics glitches. Apply your ability to work with the relevant lab equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, microcontrollers, digital multimeter, function generator, network analyzer). Must have proven oral and written communication skills suitable for a cross-functional team environment. Duties include: Support the design and development of isolated DC to DC converter modules; take responsibility for electrical design optimization and verification to meet product specification; assist in the design and development of state-of-the-art DC/DC converters and/or AC/DC systems products using proprietary technology; work on design elements such as electrical design, component selection, simulation/testing, PCB layout, and product functional specification; work on the complete development cycle in a team environment, product conception through manufacturing production; work with the relevant modeling and simulation tools (SPICE and Matlab); operate the relevant equipment such as oscilloscopes, microcontrollers, digital multimeter, function generator and network analyzer; assist with the generation of the full documentation package for all products that the team designs; and, interface with and provide routine support to internal organizations and to external customers.
Minimum requirements: B.Sc. (or equivalent degree) in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related discipline. (No experience required).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
