Plumbing and Fire Protection Designer

RDK's Andover MA office is seeking an experienced Plumbing and Fire Protection Designer to support its growing business. In this role, you will develop design concepts and detailed design documents for a wide range of facility projects.
Ideal candidates will have at least five (5) years' experience designing plumbing and fire protection systems for a range of building project types and a desire to work in a fast-paced team environment.
What You Will Do:
Responsible for plumbing and fire protection system design on a range of projects
Development of system concepts, calculations, system sizing and selection, specifications, and technical reports
Client and project communications and coordination
Services during construction
Responsible for developing and adhering to design budgets
Coordination with all disciplines
What You Will Bring to the Table:
Must have at least five (5) years of applicable experience in the consulting engineering field including the development of plans and specifications
Thorough understanding of the principles of plumbing and fire protection system design, particularly for higher-ed facilities
Ability to coordinate with project team across disciplines
Must have an AS degree and/or related technical certification and equivalent work experience
Proficiency in the operation of computer systems including Outlook, Microsoft Office, Revit, and AutoCAD MEP required
Good written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with clients and staff

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
