Market Catering Sales Manager Corporate - Boston

The Market Catering Sales Manager (MCSM) is responsible for driving catering sales by securing new business and increasing frequency among current catering clients within their market to achieve catering sales budget goals. The MCSM builds collaborative partnerships with Operations leaders and supports implementation of national catering marketing promotions within assigned Market. Essential Position Functions ? Grow catering sales primarily through their own efforts as well as positively influencing operators to grow catering sales at the bakery level. ? Secure new business and increase frequency among current catering clients utilizing the Monkey Media database, Birchwood data and trade area analysis to meet catering sales targets annually. ? Track sales performance, actively utilize sales reports to prepare for high sales rollover weeks, and provide required reporting. ? Monitor, track, and analyze catering sales numbers daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly; make tactical recommendations and execute accordingly. ? Stay up to date and follow market events and trends to identify sales opportunities. ? Set-up in person presentations for groups of 5 or more prospects, to provide taste testing of our products with the goal of acquiring their business. ? Generate and funnel sales leads to Catering Coordinators where applicable. ? Monitor and validate execution of catering brand standards and provide timely feedback to Operations leadership. ? Promote and role model execution of Company directed Catering promotions. The ideal candidate will have/be: ? Exemplary communication skills ? written, verbal and presentation (in English). ? Superior sales skills. ? Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence a diverse group of individuals at all levels. ? Demonstrated proficiency with written business communications; such as, proposals, action plans, etc. ? Working knowledge of the P & L. ? Self-directed and results-oriented work style with the ability to identify and act upon opportunities. ? Highly organized with a preference for working in a fast-paced, service-oriented, and deadline-driven environment. ? Ability to work both collaboratively and independently to meet personal and team goals. ? Strong technical/computer skills with demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software. ? Maintain valid Driver's License, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance. Education & Work Experience: ? Bachelor's Degree preferably in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing or a related field strongly preferred. ? Previous outside sales experience. ? Previous experience in the Food Service, Hospitality and or Consumer Products.
