Casa Systems, Inc. is seeking to hire a Director, R&D Platform Group to join its growing team in Andover, MA.
The Director, R&D Platform Group will lead the research and development activities of the platform group covering Board support packages, bootloaders, tool chains, Linux kernel and applications, etc. while accomplishing quality expectations and customer demands within budget and on schedule.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES &
Responsibilities:
Through subordinate managers/supervisors, defines, develops and implements the department's technical and scheduling objectives.
Will develop, review and modify department operations and technical procedures.
Coordinates multiple product and scheduling objectives.
Qualifications:
B.S. degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineer; M.S. degree a plus.
10 15 years of related telecommunications and cable service product development experience; including a track record of developing platforms from initial concept phase to full production release.
Results oriented, hands-on development professional with core expertise in the product development and end-to-end system integrations.
Experienced in software development.
Prior roles encompassing Engineering Management.
Excellent communication skills to present status to customers and internally to executive management.
Responsible for leading many successful cross-functional development projects.
Commitment to meeting schedule objectives while maintaining high product quality.
Direct technical contributions, both at the system and implementation level. Excellent debugging and problem solving skills.
Experience implementing product quality improvement techniques for software/hardware engineering.
Languages: C
Embedded OS: Linux
Recent experience with large chassis required.
