Woodard & Curran is offering a unique opportunity to join our New England Water team to provide high-quality drinking water engineering services to municipal clients across the firm's geographies and core markets. Who are we looking for:
The successful candidate will have technical expertise in the realm of drinking water; however, experience with wastewater and stormwater applications is also valuable. This position provides an opportunity to work directly with Project Managers and Technical Managers, collaborate with peer Project-level staff, and mentor staff engineers in both technical matters and professional conduct. The ideal candidate is technically focused with experience in evaluating, planning, designing, and constructing drinking water systems. Familiarity with a broad range of related topics such as master planning, hydraulic modeling, pumping, LCRR compliance, treatment, and the SRF Loan Program is preferred.Position open to the following locations:
Andover, MA or surrounding areasWhat you will be doing at Woodard & Curran:
Act as the Project Engineer for drinking water distribution projects. Work alongside Project Managers, Technical Managers, staff engineers, planners, and funding specialists to deliver projects. Working on engineering reports and construction documents and overseeing the construction of their designs. Supporting Client Managers and Project Managers in the development of proposals and agreements. What you need to succeed:
6-10 years of engineering experience. B.S. Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering. Registered Professional Engineer Technical and project delivery experience in the field of civil and/or environmental engineering and understanding of engineering concepts associated with all types of municipal water systems. Well-versed in state and federal regulations regarding water systems. Coordinating the work of engineers and developing and monitoring schedule and budget components of larger projects. Experience leading the design team or specific design components. Experience in Construction Administration, including bidding & award, submittal review, oversight of on-site engineers, and review of pay applications, change orders, and RFIs. Making decisions independently. oMentoring and directing staff on technical assignments and reviewing technical work completed by engineers under supervision. Interacting with clients and representing the firm in a professional manner. $105,000 - $125,000 a yearThis position's anticipated pay range is provided above; final exempt salary or non-exempt hourly pay will be dependent on experience level as well as considering a % based geographic differential based on where the final candidate will be working. Geographic differentials are used to recognize and reflect cost of labor differences between geographic markets.Benefits & WellbeingRetirement Savings:
