Job Description:
Job Summary Job Description Working under minimal supervision, the Benefits Specialist serves an integral role as part of the HR team to implement, manage and support the overall Benefit services, policies, and programs for the company.
This role is accountable for accurate and timely handling of benefit cases, administering benefit-related documents compliant with applicable legislation and ensuring that the relevant benefit systems are up to date.
Using strong customer service skills, will interact with all levels of employeeso Manage all U.
S.
employee benefit plans in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Participate in annual open enrollment planning and execution o Administer and support employee retirement plans, including being part of the 401K Committeeo Support ongoing review of plan documents and other internal benefit policies.
Oversee completion of annual filing requirements and employee reporting.
o Take part in planning, developing, and improving benefits programs as well as analyzing benefit costs.
Assist in communications to employees regarding benefitso Coordinate with carriers, brokers, employees and internal stakeholders regarding invoices, other benefit related transactions o Educate employees regarding benefits and eligibility.
Answer employee questions and concerns.
Assist with employee relations issues relating to benefits.
o Process and administer all U.

paid time off programs, leave-of-absence requests, ADA requests, FMLA and PFML requests, and worker's compensation benefits.
o Administer our self-insured STD programo Be a participant in the communication and implementation of wellness initiatives and programming and serve as a resource on the program and other events o Process E-Verifyo Update corporate Intranet site for Human Resourceso Data entry into HRIS system and Benefit Focus along with minor work in ADP payrollo Other duties as assigned to support Human Resources and Benefits team.
Education / Qualifications o An Associates degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or related field with 3-5 years of benefits experience or High School Diploma with 5
years of direct benefits experienceo Knowledge of HRIS/Benefits systems (Benefit Focus, ADP & SuccessFactors preferred)o Proficient in Microsoft Office skillso Knowledge of applicable laws such as HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, MA Paid Family Medical Leave (PFML) and other state and federal laws.
o Strong attention to detailo Strong oral and written communication skillso Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods of timeo Ability to multi-task and handle interruptionso Occasionally must be able to push, pull, lift up to 30 pounds About the Company:
