TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGERAs a Technical Project Manager in the Defense and Aerospace industry, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the successful execution of ERP projects within the organization.
Your primary focus will be on managing the technical aspects of projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards, and meeting customer requirements.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, scientists, technicians, and other stakeholders, to ensure project objectives are achieved within the allocated budget and timeframe.
Project Planning and Execution Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines Coordinate and allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet project requirements Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and proactively take corrective actions to ensure successful execution Technical Expertise:
Possess a strong understanding of defense and aerospace technologies, systems, and processes relevant to the project Provide technical guidance and support to project team members, ensuring the implementation of best practices and compliance with industry standards Collaborate with subject matter experts to address technical challenges and ensure project success Stakeholder Management:
Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and internal teams Establish and maintain effective communication channels to provide regular project updates, address concerns, and manage expectations Identify and manage stakeholder requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives Risk Management:
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project outcomes Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management plans to ensure project success and safety Monitor and evaluate project risks throughout the project lifecycle, making necessary adjustments as required Budget and Resource Management:
Develop project budgets and track expenditures to ensure cost-effective project delivery Optimize resource allocation to maximize project efficiency and meet objectives Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to procure necessary resources within budgetary constraints Documentation and Reporting:
Generate accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and technical specifications.
Present project updates and reports to stakeholders, management, and executive teams.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, quality standards, and contractual obligations QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (advanced degree preferred).
Proven experience in technical project management, preferably in the defense and aerospace industry Strong knowledge of defense and aerospace technologies, systems, and processes.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage project stakeholders effectively Proficient in project management methodologies and tools Familiarity with regulatory and quality standards applicable to the defense and aerospace industry Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment TOP SKILLS ERP Implementation (Experience
ERP Migration or Upgrade) IT background needs to be technical and have an understanding of ERP systems.
