Reply for details and come by to learn what we do and how we do it! Town Dog, located in Andover, MA, is a busy off-leash dog daycare, boarding & grooming facility that sees upwards of 90 dogs per day in our daycare.
We seek passionate, dog-loving individuals to join our team as a Dog Daycare Attendant.
We are accepting applicants for both full or part-time employment.
Please read the entirety of this ad for important details! As a dog daycare attendant, you work side by side with our other dog handlers to create a safe and fun environment for our canine guests.
Safety is our #1 priority! Interest in learning about dog behavior, body language and basic obedience training is a must.
We are a team of 30 strong, dog loving individuals who pride ourselves in working together to provide the very best in animal care.
Teamwork is dreamwork! This is an active position that requires you to be on your feet, communicate with your teammates and engage with the dogs.
Afternoon shifts are slower & require cleaning tasks.
Starting wage is $16 per hour.
Town Dog will consider a higher starting wage for candidates who come with experience! This is not a 9-5 job:
Applicants must be available for a minimum of 20 hours and be available for the occasional overnight.
(Please note that overnight shifts means sleeping with the dogs and we provide clean linens and a queen size bed!).
While we do our best to accommodate your schedule preferences, we do ask for availability to cover some morning, afternoon, weekend and holiday shifts.

This is a perfect position for anyone looking to build a career in the animal career field such as dog training, grooming, animal control or a veterinary technician.
This is also a great part-time position for commuter college students in the local area.
We seek:
Consistent and timely attendance - if you call in sick frequently or have a habit of not punching in on time, this is NOT the job for you! Excellent communicator.
We are a team and communication is key in keeping the operations going.
Interest & ability to learn & read dog body language (we provide training too).
Proactive, attentive and engaged individuals.
Thorough and efficient in cleaning tasks.

Qualifications:
Must love dogs! Ability to work flexible days & hours including holidays, weekends Ability to work cohesively with others in a team environment.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and have great hand eye coordination.
Must be able to spend 6 hours on your feet.
Must be able to follow our safety protocols.
