Your responsibilities will be as described in this job advert.
The reason why you are appointed for a fixed period is due to the availability of funding.
This post will therefore begin on your appointment and end 36 months after that date.
You should be aware that when your Fixed-term Appointment at MOD comes to an end, arrangements will be made in line with the FTA policy.
If you are a permanent MoD civil servant and are found successful for an advertised Fixed-term Appointment (FTA) you should move into the post under a Temporary Transfer (for up to a maximum of 23 months).
At the end of the posting you will return to your previous MoD Business area.
If this posting is at a higher grade, your promotion will be temporary, and you will return to your substantive grade at the end of the Temporary Transfer.
If a Temporary Transfer cannot be agreed between all parties then a transfer on an FTA contract is possible, read the FTA and Change of Work Location in the UK policy for further information.
If you are transferring to MoD from another government department (OGD) you should join the MoD on an inward loan.

Would you like to take a lead role in the technology and data driven People Function within the Ministry of Defence, where you will work in an open, collaborative environment where learning and personal development are key, with a strong pipeline and portfolio of exciting enterprise scale digital and data projects, as well as good remuneration package? The Head of Data and insights is a senior role with regular exposure to C-suite executives from across the Ministry of Defence.
Working closely with the Chief Digital Information Officer, you will be responsible for championing Data and Insights across Defence, providing confidence and trust with executives, business stakeholders and individuals.
As Data and Insights lead you will be joining our growing digital team, influencing, and building the data and insights capability for the People Function.
You will take a lead role in promoting People Data and Insights best practices within the Function, and across Defence.
You will build strong, collaborative, and long-lasting partnerships with key stakeholders from across Defence, Government and Industry.
You will champion and play a fundamental role in delivering the People Digital and Data Strategies.
We currently have examples of good practice in the use of people data; however, Defence is a large complex organisation which has organically grown its people data capabilities.
Therefore there is a complicated landscape of data, technology and people with significant untapped potential.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster.
