Andover, MA Andover, MA Full-time Full-time $70,000 - $80,000 a year $70,000 - $80,000 a year 2 days ago 2 days ago 2 days ago General Responsibilities Under the leadership of the Director of Advancement, the Advancement Manager is an integral member of the cross-divisional Melmark Advancement team, responsible for providing executive assistance and programmatic support to a diverse and comprehensive fundraising program.
The Manager's efforts are primarily specific to Melmark New England but shall include support for Melmark Carolinas and Melmark Pennsylvania, as required.
The program includes annual and major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, special events, donor stewardship and recognition, board relations, and other fundraising and advancement initiatives as deemed appropriate.
The Advancement Manager, Annual Giving and Special Events will primarily be responsible for managing all aspects of the organization's Special Events program which includes an annual golf tournament, bi-annual gala, several smaller special events and third-party fundraising events.
The OneCause fundraising and event management platform is utilized to create and execute the major special events.
The Advancement Manager will also support the organization's Annual Giving program, including the development and production of direct mail appeals and related donor and prospect communications.
The Manager helps ensure the successful achievement of fundraising goals and identifies opportunities for deeper engagement with prospective donors, current donors and sponsors.
The Manager will work in collaboration with the Director of Advancement, Director of Communications, and others as deemed appropriate, with respect to the organization's marketing and communications efforts related to annual giving and special event advancement efforts.

Qualifications:
Education/Training:
Bachelor's degree required.
Certifications/Licensure:
A valid US driver's license and a minimum age of twenty-one (21) years old.
Must be capable of attaining approved Melmark driver status.
Must meet Massachusetts Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) background check requirements.
Successful completion of employer provided certification in CPR, First Aid, and Melmark's Orientation Program and New Hire Onsite training program.

Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Proficiency with Raiser's Edge (donor management system) and OneCause, special event management platform preferred.
Experience:
Three years minimum fundraising experience required.
Experience in a non-profit human services or educational setting preferred.
Direct experience planning and managing special events program required.
Volunteer management.
Interrelationships:
Interacts with all Melmark New England departments as well as Melmark Carolinas, and Pennsylvania Advancement and Marketing departments, among others.
