Director of Product Management - Roofing Adhesives & Underlayments

The Director, Product Management - Roofing Adhesives & Underlayments is responsible for coordinating and managing all elements of new and existing products and projects within roofing adhesives and underlayments products lines including product line profitability, new product development, product training, product forecasting, product life cycle management and with support from Marcom the development of Sales/Marketing tools and collateral.
Ideally this position will be based in our Andover, MA, Norton, OH or Tampa, FL plants.
Responsibilities:
Secure or develop necessary product cost information and set pricing collaboratively Sales and Pricing Department.
Identify and assess new product and marketing opportunities, including requests for product specials on a regular basis.
As a result of this assessment, develop product proposals and champion proposal through the Stage Gate process for approval.
Develops promotion plan/strategy and coordinates implementation with internal and external resources to ensure products are visible and well promoted in the marketplace.
Become in-house expert in competitive differentiation & Positioning.
Assist Sales and Service in the identification of appropriate products and supporting materials to meet customer needs or solve customer problems.
Track profitability of all product lines.
Clearly communicate new product program requirements and justification to the team and key stakeholders at the start of each new project to manage expectations and prevent any redesign or refocus of the project in mid-cycle.
Communicate status of programs to all stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
Exercise strong leadership, without direct line authority, to keep Stage Gate team motivated and focused on the product and business direction to ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget and on scope.
Provide necessary information and launch support to ensure that the Sales Team is knowledgeable on new product launch objectives, new product performance, and selling strategies.
Support activities will vary based on the size of the new product launch.
Work with MarCom to create launch plans and package.
Create and provide product training to Sales Team and Independent Reps.
Provide marketing input to internal groups such as R&D and Operations to ensure the ongoing improvement of current products.
Work with external support organizations to ensure that feedback on product and product promotions and sales strategies is provided to appropriate people including R&D, Product Management, Sales.
Obsolescence programs are planned and implemented smoothly to ensure easy transition for customers to new products and to limit cost of excess inventory.
Minimize long term inactive SKU's.
Work with Finance to track product line P&L's and initiate programs to improve profitability.
Forecast- creates and implements annual and long-range forecasts.
Provides real-time guidance to operations regarding forecasted customer demand.
Reduce the product cost and product production and distribution lead-time while continuously improving quality of assigned product lines.
Sets market required lead-times for assigned products.
Works directly with field sales and marketing staff to ensure alignment of product strategies and plans.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience needed Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or highly related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Generally, 8-10 years of experience in Product Management, Marketing, Engineering, Technical Sales, or related field.
Must have experience in roofing industry.
Preferred requirements include knowledge of the chemical construction industry, Coating, Flooring, Roofing.
Excellent communications skills required.
Ability to travel occasionally.
Effective team player.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
