The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for assisting the Property Manager in the day-to-day management operation of the property.
Among the areas of concern are those related to maintaining the wait list, recertifications, administrative and financial record keeping, resident and community relations.
A more specific, but not necessarily complete, list of responsibilities follows where the Assistant Property Manager assists the Property Manager:
q OCCUPANCY - Marketing, affirmative marketing, waiting list, move-ins and move-outs, orientation, resident relations and rent collections if/when directed by the Property Manager.
q MAINTENANCE - As directed by the Property Manager to regularly inspect property, inspect and approve readiness of turnover units, and maintain records of maintenance activity.
q FINANCIAL - Preparation of subsidy vouchers, preparation and submission of vouchers for payment.
q ADMINISTRATION - Maintain business and tenant files, daily system back-ups, assisting Property Manager in maintaining working relationship with regulatory agencies, administer subsidy programs, maintain statistics and submit requisite reports to owners and agencies.
Attendance and minute taking at monthly Board meetings is required.
q RESIDENT & COMMUNITY RELATIONS, PROGRAMMING - Assist in the overseeing of volunteer programs, assist Recreation Coordinator in developing grants, work with resident organizations, maintain list of community resources, develop and maintain relationship with surrounding community.
In addition to the above, the Assistant Property Manager may be asked to perform other duties as directed by the Property Manager.
Skills/
Experience:
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Yardi knowledge is a Plus.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
