6 Temporary 1 hour ago Full Job Description Description Design, develop, and implement programs enhancing the production operation of the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
Responsibilities Aides utility workers and lead workers, and assists in daily operations of the kitchen.
This includes:
serving of food according to standards related to sanitary conditions, uses all cooking equipment correctly, uses correct recipes and serving sizes, and makes certain that service is done in a professional and efficient manner.
Designs and implements plans to lower costs and increase quality of food production.
Manages the inventory and ordering of supplies to operate the kitchen.
Follows meal pattern requirements in serving student meals in accordance with the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs.
Follows standards of safety in preparing, storing, and serving food.
Maintains personal hygiene and follows sanitation protocols, such as washing hands and changing gloves.
Works with utility workers and lead utility workers to use standardized recipes in accordance with the daily menu.
Ensures lead utility worker restocks food and batch cooks during lunch service to maximize quality of food.
Ensures the lines are presentable, clean, and attractive.
Accurately completes and maintains required records along with lead utility and utility workers.
Plans grocery list with lead utility worker by reviewing the menu in advance.
Completes monthly inventory with the assistance of the utility workers.
Operates POS system for students and adults when necessary.
Place all grocery/supply/cold production orders as directed by School Nutrition Director.
Accepts and follows SOP for receiving produce deliveries, including FIFO.
Checks and answers e-mails daily.
Attends job-related training classes and workshops.
Prepares cash out reports and daily bank deposit with cashier.
Manages district catering needs with assistance from assistant director.
Oversees cold production kitchen.
Manages kitchen staffing and creates an efficient working environment.
Qualifications Must be Serv Safe Certified.
3-5 years food service experience required.
School Nutrition food service and management background preferred.
Ability to effectively work with and manage a team required.
Supplemental Information Supervision Received:
Works under the Assistant Food Service Director and Director of Food and Nutrition Services for Andover Public Schools.
Supervision Exercised:
Works with and manages part time, full time, and temporary staff as assigned under the direction of the School Nutrition Assistant Director or Director.
Position is not part of the union - contractual at 185 days, salaried, 37.
5 hours per week.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, hear, and use hands to operate kitchen equipment.
Employee occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
